Located less than 5 miles from Ickford, Thame is a historic market town which originated from Anglo-Saxon roots. Complete with its own rich history, the Tuesday Charter Market which is held every Tuesday is not to be missed. 7. Tiggywinkles: Wildlife Hospital Visitors – Distance: 7.5 miles

Set in the heart of the Chilterns countryside, Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital is a specialist hospital helping to treat and care for animals in need. The visitor center is an excellent place for children to find out more about caring for wildlife, the animals they rescue and the treatment they receive.

Visitors can get up close and personal and meet animals such as hedgehogs, take a peek into the baby bird nursery or even catch a Red Kite in flight at the Aviaries and Education Center.
